...we've been looking for quite a while too!! We finally went to someone who made a good impression last week, so I thought I'd share the goodness! His name is Dr. Kharb and his clinic is called the Center Point Pet Clinic. It's in Center Point (d-uh), which is located on the same road as Max Hospital Gurgaon and the Remfry House (pyramid topped blue twin towers), along where the metro line is being constructed. This is the same complex which also has a Pizza Hut and Kebab King and a L'Oreal salon.
There's an associate vet named Dr. Ashok Kumar who is mostly available for consultation. Dr. Kharb himself is available by appointment, and we haven't met him yet.
So why did we like the place?
The place was very clean. They made sure to wipe the vet's table with Savlon each time a new "patient" showed up - this is something we hadn't seen any other vet do. Overall, the clinic was well maintained and clean as well.
They have a good process. The first thing the assistants did when it was our dog's turn was a quick, thorough general grooming including cleaning his ears, clipping his nails, cleaning his bum, and brushing him, without even being asked.
The doctor had a great manner with all the dogs and other pets that were there when we were there. The dogs especially seemed very much at ease with him and almost seemed to listen to him. Our dog, for example, who isn't really aggressive, but generally makes his dislike for the act of being hoisted up on a cold metal table to be poked and prodded quite visible, behaved very differently this time around. He was calm and let the doctor do his thing without a squeak. The doctor actually gave him three or four different injections and he didn't have a clue! That hasn't happened before.
The only downside is that they don't have a proper waiting room. This means that you have to wait outside the clinic with your pet, which can be quite a challenge, especially with an aggressive pet.
Anyway, here's the contact information, if you plan to give this doc a shot (pun intended:0).

I can only agree. I have moved back to Denmark now but when I lived in Gurgaon Dr. Kharb saved the lives of my 2 kittens and 1 puppy that I got from a shelter in very bad conditions.
Hi ,
I too have heard about Dr. Kharb ... that is if he is the same gentleman(retired from the army)who used to have a clinic in Delhi ,along with his So ... though I have to say when I lived in Gurgaon and things got a lil' complicated with my 2 yr. old labrador...I found Dr.Rana in Dehi the best bet :(
Hi. This has no connect with the 'vet' blog but I am just curious to know what is 'instructional designer'.
